POSITIONS — 6V6

Positions and tactical systems for 6 vs 6 volleyball.

1. GAME FORMAT
Official FIVB / FFVolley format: 6 players + libero, 9×18 m court, 3 m attack line, 2.43 m net (M) / 2.24 m (W).
Zones numbered counter-clockwise from behind your own court (Z1 = server). Clockwise rotation on side-out (Z2→Z1→Z6→Z5→Z4→Z3→Z2). Rule 7.4: at the moment of serve contact, positions are controlled by the feet (Z2 closer to the net than Z1, etc.). Block of 1, 2 or 3. The libero replaces back-row players without counting as a substitution.
2. TACTICAL SETUP
6-2 System (advanced)

2 versatile setters: they ONLY set from the back row (with penetration), and become right-side attackers when rotating to the front. + 2 middles + 2 outsides + 1 libero. Pro: always 3 front-row attackers. Con: diluted setter-hitter chemistry, and in the double-sub variant rapidly burns through the 6 substitutions per set (FIVB Rule 15.6).
